DJ is a solid thick made dun gelding with tiger striped legs, and is sure to turn heads. He is not only gorgeous but well bred having MR SUN O LENA on his papers (The only stallion by DOC O’LENA to become an AQHA Champion, earning 52 AQHA points and $37,686.) He has served his purpose as a full time ranch hand branding, weaning, shipping, and all the day to day chores a ranch horse has to perform. The smoke, ropes, people running, throwing of calves and all the chaos does not phase him one bit. DJ has a ton of cow sense and really works a gate well. Absolutely any level rider can operate this gelding in the branding pen and enjoy him. With all of the time spent gathering cattle in steep terrain and in the forest, he is a proven trail horse and does not bock over anything including crossing water, logs, traffic, bikes or wildlife. He has seen it all. DJ drags the tarp without issues and is solid logging, he has been ridden through all the cowboy challenge obstacles as well. Not only is he a finished ranch horse but he has also been shown in the ranch riding, ranch trail and versatility classes. This gelding has a rocking horse lope, lead departures and changes, a flawless headset that carries low to the ground, soft turn arounds and he will whoa without any hesitation. He is the epitome of GENTLE and takes time off great; saddle him after a month off and get right on. DJ is loving and the kind, always happy to meet you at the gate.
